"Left"
When he uses this word (think: "I left the bar at six" vs. "I went home at six"), there's some kind of drama involved. Maybe he got stuck in traffic or is hiding something he did that he shouldn't have.
"Never"
The big thing to look out for is when he says "never" when "no" will do. It's a sign he's overcompensating. For example, if you ask, "Did you just look at that girl's butt?" and he says, "Never!"
"That"
Like never, it depends on how he uses it. If he puts "that" in front of a noun, like "that woman" or "that money," it's a subconscious attempt for him to distance himself from the word. This is a common trick of manipulators.
"Would"
If he skips "no" and goes straight to "I would never do something like that!" when talking about a past event, be wary. For example, "Are you still talking to your ex?" "I would never do that to you!" "Would never" suggests that he plans to do it in the future.
"Yes, ma'am"
If your guy is a Southern gentleman, then this doesn't apply. But if he suddenly says "ma'am" to you out of nowhere, be cautious. It's a sign that he's feeling stressed and knows he's in trouble.
"By the way…"
Liars use phrases like this to try to minimize what they say next—but usually it's what's most important to the story. Pay extra attention to what he says afterward.
"But"
Liars usually try to downplay what they say with this word, so pay attention when he says something like, "I know this is going to sound strange, but…" or "I know you think I'm lying, but…"
"Why would I do that?"
It's a favorite stalling line of liars, so they can buy a little time to work out what to say next. These phrases also fit the bill: "What kind of person do you think I am?” "Are you calling me a liar?” and "I knew this was going to happen to me!"
Cher Lloyd is definitely living the dream! She's only 19 years old, has been on one of the world's most popular television shows (British X Factor), is a pop star and is engaged to a super hottie! She's already achieved everything on my bucket list and beyond, but she still hadn't really been broken into the pop/rock scene in the Americas yet......well, that is until someone in the audience, at a recent concert, threw a bottle of urine at her and boo'ed her off the stage....
hmmmmmm.....I wonder if one of the members of THE WANTED were in the crowd..lol j/k but as cruel as this act was, you have to admit she is officially a rock star now! Anyone that can go through that and then come back on stage to finish their set is #Winning in my book! Cheers to Cher......or in other words "ugh!!"
A look back at Cher Lloyd performing at KISS FM (Below)
I had a great time last night at the sponsor party for Susan G. Komen! It was downtown at Discovery World and my girl Elizabeth Kay(from our sister station 99.1) and I had some fun in the photo booth. Here is the pic below. And remember...less than a couple weeks left to join our KISS team...sign up here now and walk with me!
We've got the results of a new poll about things we hate spending money on, and one thing is clear. We hate spending money on weddings, we hate spending money on bills . . . but we REALLY hate spending money on our SIGNIFICANT OTHERS.
--The NUMBER ONE thing people hate spending on is . . . buying things for their husbands, wives, girlfriends, or boyfriends. Here's the full top 10:
#1.) Buying things for our significant others.
#2.) Your own wedding costs.
#3.) Buying wedding presents for other people.
#4.) BIRTH CONTROL. Although it's a lot cheaper than the alternative.
#5.) Retirement contributions.
#6.) Bachelor or bachelorette parties.
#7.) Utility bills.
#8.) Work clothes.
#9.) Car insurance.
#10.) The dentist.
--Things that finished just outside the top 10 are throwing in for a coworker's birthday present or card, grocery bags, gas, and tolls.
Snooki finally left the hospital after giving birth to a baby boy over the weekend. Here is the first picture of her and the baby(who has a full head of hair) and I should also mention that the whole thing was being filmed for MTV. Of course it was. Check out the picture here!
Michele Recaps Boston Store fashion show with Tina from Glee & covers the new technology that helps prosecute lazy pet owners who don't scoop up behind their dogs. Waste of money or genius idea??!!!!
Doing talk shows and radio shows come natural to me, but when it comes to hosting a fashion show, this was definitely a 1st and a bit of a challenge!!!! I like to wear clothes & talk about people that look bad in them, but when it comes to fabrics, mix matching, etc.... I draw bit of a blank! Nonetheless, I had a great time hosting with Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina from Glee) this past Saturday, in the unveiling of her new clothing line with Wallflower! You can only find these pieces at Boston Store and bostonstore.com and trust me they are definitely worth every penny!
I got the chance to sit down with Jenna, to see what made her want to test the waters in fashion & here's what she had to say below! See footage from the fashion show here ----> http://michelemcknight.com/#c2d/blogger
If you've recently been invited to a wedding... I have a few thoughts for you.
RSVP RIGHT AWAY!
I'm getting married in a few weeks, so I can tell you 1st hand that the minute you get your invite, the bride and groom are already waiting to get it back!
Though it's just another day to you, maybe even a pain to you, it's a BIG day to them, and a ton of money, work and planning!
DON'T BRING A 1ST DATE!
I think it's somewhat tacky to bring just anybody! I'm not picking on single people, I'm just saying REMEMBER that the bride & groom are paying a lot for each person that is there, so do you really want them to have to pay for some chick or dude that you might never go out with again?
IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU!
Going thru this process I realize why weddings are such a pain... it's because we are all selfish on some level!
As gross as it sounds the more you realize that this isn't about you, and just try to be polite and do whatever is asked of you, the more you'll be loved and appreciated from the bride & groom!
These things might be obvious to you, but they weren't to me, so I just wanted to pass them along!
