Jersey Shore Cast Filming Hurricane Clean-Up Special

In the wake of the devastating blow suffered by the New Jersey shore from Hurricane Sandy, RadarOnline reported Wednesday that MTV is planning a clean-up special starring the cast of Jersey Shore for Seaside Heights, their summer home for most of the reality show's seasons, that suffered extensive damage from the storm. The website cited a show insider as saying, "The honchos at the network think it would be a tremendous boost for Seaside Heights as the town begins to rebuild to have the kids be a part of it."  The source continued, "Of course, this is all in the very early stages at this point and these are very informal talks that are underway. Interestingly, the producers think they won't have any problems getting Snooki, Deena and J-Woww to agree, it's the boys they are concerned with getting, especially The Situation. However, it wouldn't be necessary to have the entire cast reunite if the project does go forward."  After Sandy struck, many of the Jersey Shore cast members posted messages of support and sympathy for the victims on Twitter, as well as calls for donations to the Red Cross to help those affected. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi told MTV News in a statement, "It's devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm."  The Associated Press reported that one of their photographers who went by the Seaside Heights house used to film Jersey Shore said it appeared to have come out of the storm undamaged.
