Jersey Shore is coming to a close. MTV announced that the reality show's upcoming sixth season will also be its last.  The final season will premiere on October 4th, but fans can tune in for a special called Gym, Tan, Look Back in which the cast will reflect on their reality show experiences.  The special -- which will also include a sneak peak of season six -- will air on September 6th.  Jwoww and new mom Snooki will remain on the network, as their spinoff has just received a second season pickup. Pauly D and The Pauly D Project are still awaiting their fate.  Jersey Shore is MTV's highest rated series in its history.
