Where You Can And Can't Use Fireworks in Wisconsin

The Fourth of July approaches - and what's more patriotic than setting off fireworks? Sure, they're fun, but if you want to set them off yourself, their legality differs in different places around the state.

In the City of Milwaukee, all fireworks are illegal, including sparklers and ground fireworks. Most municipalities outside of Milwaukee allow sparklers and similar items without a permit, but any fireworks that leave the ground require a permit. Rules vary by municipality.

And hey, if all else fails, Milwaukee and the surrounding areas have their own spectacular fireworks shows that you can go see!
