Solar Eclipse Coming Soon!

July 31, 2017

The excitement is building quickly for this awesome event! A highly-anticipated solar eclipse will be viewable in the United States on August 21st.

During the eclipse, the moon will pass between the earth and the sun, making the earth a little darker. In some places in the US, the moon will cover up the sun completely. It will be the first total solar eclipse in the US since 1918.

Wisconsin isn't in the path for 100% obscuration. But, here in Milwaukee, it's expected that the moon will cover up about 83% of the sun, so we still get part of the action!
