Mequon Goes For a World Record?!

July 5, 2017

Some Mequon residents had a little fun with their Fourth of July parade this year.

A group of about 30 neighbors in Mequon have held their own neighborhood parade each Fourth of July. This year, they decided to go for a Guinness World Record... for shortest Fourth of July parade in the United States.

The parade marched for only 88 yards, from Homestead High School to the first house on the street. A video and written declaration by Ozaukee County circuit court judge Sandy Williams will be sent to the Guinness World Records team.
