New Decision in the Brendan Dassey Case?

November 23, 2016

After spending nearly 10 years in prison, Brendan Dassey is finally going to be released by 8 P.M.. Friday.  Dassey has been in jail after being found guilty of helping his uncle Steven Avery murder Teresa Halbach in 2005.  The release was ruled by U.S.. Magistrate William Duffin only one day after the Wisconsin Department of Justice filed a motion to try to prevent Dassey's release.

A quote from Duffin said, "In the motion to stay the respondent largely re-argues the same points already considered and rejected by the court in deciding Dassey’s motion for release. The court finds that reconsideration of these arguments yields the same conclusion. The respondent’s motion to stay is denied."

Dassey's case became famous after the documentary "Making A Murderer" showed how police violated Dassey's constitutional rights during interrogation.  Dassey will finally be released and catch the next wrestle mania.
