LISTEN: Katy Perry's New Single "Chained to the Rhythm" Already Has Us Singing Along

Katy Perry has dropped her much anticipated new single, and it is safe to say that we are going to be singing along all weekend to "Chained to the Rhythm."

Perry dropped the song's lyric video on Friday, and even the video made us a smile. HINT: There is something surprisingly adorable about a hamster enjoying a gourmet meal.

The song's lyrics have an underlying message of activism and awareness, but yet it has Perry's typical pop party song vibe. "Are we crazy? Living our lives through a lens, trapped in our white-picket fence like ornaments -- so comfortable, we live in a bubble, a bubble," she sings.

"Chained to the Rhythm," which is Perry's first single since she released "Rise" for the Olympics last year, has some additional star power attached to it. Sia is listed one of the track's co-writers, and Skip Marley (Bob Marley's grandson) is featured in the song as well.

Perry is expected to perform the song during Sunday's GRAMMY Award ceremony. The 2017 GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 12 on CBS.
