Beyonce and Jay-Z have reportedly chosen talk show queen Oprah Winfrey as the godmother for their new daughter, Blue Ivy. They chose Oprah because they did not want to select a blood relative, a source told the gossip website Media Take Out. Jay-Z's best friend and road manager, Tyran "Ty Ty" Smith, was asked to be the child's godfather, the gossip site reported. Oprah has been a close friend to the pair and reportedly sent baby Blue a trunk full of books after her birth. Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed baby Blue in New York on January 7th.
