Miss Bumbum Brazil - SCANDAL!!

I've never been to Brazil, but from everything I've read, the only two things that matter there are soccer and nice buttocks.  Which is why this SCANDAL might ROCK the entire country of Brazil to its very core.

There's a contest every year in Brazil called Miss Bumbum, which names the woman with the BEST BUTT in the country.  It's SUCH a prestigious title that the winner and runner-up become legit celebrities with endorsements and modeling contracts.

Well . . . we're just a few weeks away from this year's winner being named, and there's word that two of the 15 finalists have paid MASSIVE BRIBES to the judges.

Those two contestants are 25-year-old Mari Sousa and 24-year-old Eliana Amaral.  Apparently, they each paid more than $30,000 to have the contest end with Mari as the winner and Eliana in second place.

That's not the only scandal around these two.  There's also word that Eliana has BUTTOCK IMPLANTS . . . which would disqualify her from winning.

The winner will be named on the 15th of next month.  There's no word on what kind of investigation is going on to figure out whether these two really did bribe the judges.

Click HERE to see pics of the ladies in question.

Guy loses cell phone, hot girl finds it...awkwardness ensues.l

We've seen stories where phone thieves get caught, because the photos they're taking get automatically uploaded to the victim's computer.  But this is definitely a new twist.

Back in April, 24-year-old Niklaus Knect of Windisch, Switzerland fell asleep on a train, and woke up to find someone had snatched his phone.  He chalked it up as a loss, got himself a new phone, and moved on.

But suddenly someone started taking photos from his old phone, without realizing they would auto-upload to his computer.  And the person taking the photos was . . . an attractive woman.

Niklaus says it looks like she's in Morocco.  And he doesn't think she stole the phone . . . he thinks she bought it from whoever stole it from HIM.

But the more photos of her he saw on his computer . . . the more ATTRACTED to her he became.  So now he doesn't care if the woman keeps his stolen phone . . . as long as she's willing to GO OUT with him.

He's hoping that by publicizing this on Facebook and in the media, someone will recognize the girl and get them in touch with each other.

She Gave Him Her Kidney...Now they're married!? Yup.

In 2009, a 22-year-old woman named Chelsea Clair went to a car show near Indianapolis, where she met 19-year-old Kyle Froelich.

At the time, Kyle's kidneys were failing, and the car show was to raise money for treatment.  Chelsea and Kyle had never met before, but she'd heard about him through a mutual friend.  And on the spot, she offered to give him one of HER kidneys.

Now, Kyle had already had offers from a bunch of friends and family members, but none of them were matches.  So he wasn't too hopeful.  But Chelsea followed through, got tested, and WAS a match.

Then even after her mom desperately tried to talk her out of it, Chelsea had surgery six months later, and the transplant was a success.

We're telling you all this because Kyle and Chelsea officially started DATING after he recovered.  And earlier this month, they got MARRIED.

In an interview with the "Indianapolis Star" newspaper, Kyle said it's hard to explain the kind of bond they have now, adding that she's his "best friend."

And Chelsea joked that she HAD to marry him.  Because, quote, "I have to make sure he takes care of that [kidney]."

McDonalds & Amazon Raising Prices!
The only rule in life is that EVERYTHING gets more expensive.  So we SHOULDN'T be surprised by this, but we are.  Two HUGE companies just raised their prices on very popular items.

1.  The McDonald's Dollar Menu.  We'd heard reports that the McDonald's Dollar Menu might not be the Dollar Menu for much longer . . . and now it's official.  As of November 4th, it will become the "Dollar Menu and More."

Yes, there will still be some items on the menu for $1 . . . but it will also include things that cost $2, and even a 20-piece McNuggets that costs $5.  In other words, the Dollar Menu and More is basically just the MENU.

2.  Amazon Free Shipping.  This one caught us off guard.  For more than a DECADE now, Amazon has offered free shipping on orders over $25.  It's one of the reasons they became so incredibly popular.

Well, sometime over the past few days, Amazon VERY QUIETLY bumped the minimum up to $35.  If you pay the annual fee for Prime shipping, you aren't affected . . . you'll still get two-day shipping without paying extra.  (AdAge / Consumerist)

Ellen Surprises Waitress With $10,000 Tip

ELLEN DEGENERES gave $10,000 to a New Hampshire waitress who paid a tab for two National Guard soldiers.

The woman's name is Sarah Hoidahl.  She's a 22-year-old single mother living with her mom.  One day she was waiting on two female soldiers, and they were trying to choose inexpensive menu items, because they weren't getting paid due to the government shutdown.

So Sarah decided to cover their tab, which came to $27.75.  Instead of a check, she gave them a note thanking them for their service.

Well, the women posted a picture of the note on Facebook, and that's how Ellen found out about it.

Ellen brought Sarah on her show Friday and gave her the $27.75.  Then she surprised Sarah by giving her a big-screen TV . . . and a check for another 10-GRAND.

Signature State Foods - Wisconsin #33?!

You want to make people angry?  Tell them their state's signature food sucks.  People get punched in the mouth over stuff like that.

But apparently the website Deadspin.com has a death wish . . . they just released a list ranking the signature foods from all 50 states and D.C.  And they only picked one food per state . . . just to make people even angrier I guess.

The best signature food in the country is . . . Chicago-style deep dish pizza from Illinois.  Here's the rest of the top ten.

2.  Shrimp and grits from South Carolina.

3.  The mission-style burrito from California . . . which is basically just an enormous burrito with extra rice and other ingredients.

4.  Crab cakes from Maryland.

5.  Peach cobbler from Georgia.

6. Gumbo from Louisiana.

7.  Key Lime pie from Florida.

8.  Fried green tomatoes from Alabama.

9.  Green chile enchiladas from New Mexico.

10.  Marionberry pie from Oregon.  Apparently it's like a blackberry pie.

On the other end of the list, Cincinnati chili from Ohio came in DEAD last.  The rest of the ten WORST state foods are . . .

2.  Steamed cheeseburgers from Connecticut.

3.   Nevada . . . because they're the only state with NO signature food.

4.  Boiled dinner, New Hampshire.  It's sorta like corned beef and cabbage, but with other meats and vegetables too.

5.  Akutaq, Alaska.  (A-goo-duck)  It's a native dish made out of whipped fat, berries, and other optional ingredients . . . including meat, FISH, and roots.  How is this not number one?

6.  Hand-held meat pies, Nebraska.

7.  Salt Water Taffy, New Jersey.

8.  Lutefisk, North Dakota.

9.  Green Jell-O with carrots, Utah.

10.  Chislic, South Dakota . . . which is sorta like a kabob.

Government Is Open For Business!
The Government  is open for business!

The government reopened its doors Today after a battle-weary Congress approved a bipartisan measure to end a 16-day partial shutdown and avert the possibility of an economy-jarring default on U.S. obligations.

Early this morning, the President signed the measure, which the House and Senate passed late last night, ending a brawl with Republicans who tried to use the must-pass legislation to mount a last-ditch effort to derail the president's landmark health care law and demand concessions on the budget.

The White House directed all agencies to reopen promptly and in an orderly fashion. Furloughed federal employees across the country are expected to return to work Thursday.

One thing people are happy about is the re-opening of NASA, just in case giant meteors are hurling towards the earth, we know when to send up Bruce Willis and his band of muchachos to break it up with a nuclear bomb and an Aerosmith CD.

Museums open Today, and the National Zoo opens tomorrow.

New $100 Bill Could Be Worth $15,000!!

New $100 bill worth $15,000?  Possibly.

The Federal Reserve Board released its new, redesigned $100 bills yesterday, adding a splash of color and stylish flourishes to the currency featuring Benjamin Franklin's ever-familiar face. The new bills also boast a number of upgrades to thwart counterfeiters. So how much do you suppose the new bills will each be worth? For some, much more than $100.
Depending on their serial numbers, their value to currency-collectors could go as high as $15,000 each

The Globe explains that collectors view certain 8-digit serial numbers as "fancier" (meaning more rare, and thus more collectible) than others. The fanciest numbers, according to collectors, include ones exceptionally low: A new $100 bill with the serial number 00000001, for example, might fetch up to $15,000.

There will be more than one such bill, because each issuing Federal Reserve Bank prefaces the serial number with a letter code designating which bank produced the bill.

Other types of "fancy" numbers are highly sought after. These include "ladders," which have their numbers in sequence (e.g., 87654321), "repeaters," which have two sets of the same four digits (e.g., 41124112), and "solids," which have eight of the same digit (e.g., 44444444).

Things We Argue About Most

A new survey came up with the top 50 things couples argue about most.  But really, there was no need to stop at 50.  They could've come up with 17,000 things.  Couples will argue about ANYTHING.  Here's the top 10 . . .

1.  Money.

2.  Kids.

3.  Sex.

4.  Politics.

5.  Religion.

6.  Watching sports.

7.  Directions.

8.  What to watch on TV.

9.  What to have for dinner.

10.  Household chores.

The top 50 also included arguments over replacing the empty toilet paper roll, what clothes to wear, where to go on vacation, Coke versus Pepsi, and whose turn it is to go grocery shopping.

He Wanted To Go Out Drinking, His Wife Said No...So...

Last week, 34-year-old Rogelio Andaverde of Edinburg, Texas wanted to go out drinking with his friends.  His wife, Maria Hernandez, wanted him to stay home.  So he came up with the perfect plan.

He had his friends put on MASKS and STORM into the house with GUNS . . . then "kidnap" him.  They grabbed him, threw him in their car, and drove off to go drinking.

Apparently none of them realized that Maria would NOT take it as a joke.  She called the cops, who launched an all-out manhunt.  They sent out a HELICOPTER, and at least a DOZEN officers to search for him.  But they couldn't find him.

The next morning, Rogelio walked into his house, and told his wife the kidnappers had shown him mercy and let him go.

He might've THOUGHT that would be the end of it . . . but it wasn't.  The cops kept investigating and figured out he'd staged the entire thing.

So now Rogelio has been arrested and charged with making a false report to the police, which is a Class B misdemeanor.  He's looking at up to a $2,000 fine and six months in prison . . . plus whatever his wife does to him.

His friends who kidnapped him weren't charged.

Motorcyclists Charged In SUV Attack
A motorcyclist accused of smashing a window and catalyzing a bloody encounter between a group of bikers and an SUV driver was arraigned Sunday on gang assault and other major charges, which his lawyer said were overblown.

The motorcyclist smashing the window happens at the end of this video around the 6:12 mark.

The fourth person arrested so far in a case held up as a highway nightmare, Reginald Chance, 37, was being held on $75,000 cash bail. Prosecutors said he played a key role in the SUV driver's beating, which came after the driver ran over a biker in what the motorist's family said was fear for his life.

Car Chase Ends In Shooting At US Capitol

Around 2:15 yesterday afternoon, a woman drove her black Infiniti up to the barriers outside the White House, where guards and cops told her she couldn't drive any closer.  She argued with them . . . then suddenly peeled off and SPED AWAY.

She headed toward the U.S. Capitol building with at least TWENTY cops and Secret Service agents in pursuit.

Eventually they stopped her, but she reversed into a police cruiser and took off AGAIN.

So Capitol Police fired multiple shots at her, and she was hit and killed a few blocks away.

A source said the use of force was authorized, because she refused to stop and was driving in a, quote, "threatening manner."  She didn't have any weapon on her.

But she DID have her one-year-old daughter in the car, who wasn't hurt.  The child was safely taken away by police, and is in protective custody.  But two cops WERE injured.

The woman's motive is unknown, but it's not considered a terrorist incident.  Reports are saying she was a 34-year-old dental hygienist from Connecticut named Miriam Carey, with a history of mental illness, and possibly suffering from post-partum depression.

And check this out:  Because of the shutdown, the Capitol police aren't even being PAID right now.
