Randy Jackson will reportedly retain his position as a judge on American Idol -- because the show's deal with Enrique Iglesias fell through. It was recently reported that Jackson was being demoted to a "mentor." Simon Cowell first broke the news that Jackson was going to stay with the show via Twitter, and although there's been no official confirmation, TMZ has details of the negotiations. According to the site, Idol was desperate to fill the judge's seats since auditions are due to start in less than two weeks. Mariah Carey is already locked in, and TMZ claims that deals with Keith Urban and Nicki Minaj could be finalized any minute. This means there would be a four-judge format this year.
