Lorde vs Selena Gomez

Lorde.....a feminist??

Let's get something straight....Royals is a dope song, but you haven't even been a relevant artist for a year, and you're already bashing other people?!! Get your life together!

"I'm a feminist and the theme of her song ['Come & Get It'] is, 'When you're ready come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way," is what Lorde shared in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine . After bashing Selena for being too provocative, she then praises Taylor Swift for being unnatainable and somewhat perfect, really making things awkward, since Swift and Gomez are besties.

I will say that I respect Lorde for saying what she means and meaning what she says...but still... I think this was a bit premature in your career for you to be discreditiing another artist.  Everyone has a different pallet, when it comes to music, and even if it isn't a preference for you, it isn't necessary to bash.  Selena obviously has something working for her, or she wouldn't still be relevant. Aside from that, she is far from the 1st chick to express a taste for sexuality in her music (stage left---> lady gaga, pink, beyonce, katy perry, etc....)

I just hope Lorde doesn't become a one hit wonder....what will she have to say then?

FYI...According to the Huffington Post Selena Gomez has since removed "Royals" from the song selection on her Stars Dance Tour and replaced it with Katy Perry "Roar."
