the days are here.. well, they were here; and will be back shortly..
Days where my hot coffee becomes iced coffee.
The short sleeves (which I wear all winter), are appropriately complimented by shorts
and hairy yet blinding white legs (that's hot)
When I randomly and almost always get sand in my mouth.... even when I'm several miles
from the nearest beach. Happens every year It's a summer thing. When even the worst days are cushioned by
that comforting humid warmth and the smell of freedom. Enjoy

I hear/read a lotta folks saying they're afraid go outside, send their kids to school..
how the world is a horrible place and that humanity is doomed.
I'm guessing/hoping that I'm reading what only a few think.
you have a choice on how you react to disasters, tragedies, and disturbing worldwide events.
You can be one of those people who do things based on fear. Fun? Productive? No.
Or you can choose to actually live;
Doing things that active, living, breathing people do.
Are you visibly shaken by this weeks events in Boston and west Texas?
Donate. Do you crave comfort?
Surround yourself with friends and family... pray... party.. give.. breathe..
but do Not fear or worry.
Because last time I checked, worrying never addded a minute to anybodys
life or solved a problem.

Thanx to the Milwaukee Wave for letting me and my radio/media friends
yank the sport of soccer down to an all time performance low.
But still, I had a great time playing/attempting to play at the half-time
"celebrity"/mascot game.. and my first Wave Game. I highly recommend it.

For the greater part of my adult life I had prided (big mistake already .. pride)
ok, prided myself on
avoiding/refusing to participate in small talk.
Hence the reason why my group of real friends are a select few.
I'm learning that a ton of people love/
have a disturbing passion for small talk. It's comforting to them.
As I'm being thrusted into the daily suburban social scenarios
that I've mocked for years...
I'm now forced to be right in the heart of it.
It's only Tuesday, and I've already discussed the
weather in extreme specific detail 4 times with the small, safe gathering at the Bus Stop.
There's only so much you can say about the weather, regardless of the conditions.
Let's rephrase, there's only so much I can say, before I shut down and just stop
responding to the forecast or pastcast. "Yep, that's snow. It sure is winter ...
Wonder if it'll stay like this?" or crap did I just accidentally ask a question in my
autopilot repsonse; which will inevitiably continue this torturous cliche riddled
conversation. What's next? are we gonna talk about Nickleback and Pearl Jam?
Somebody get me a labotomy quick!,,, oh wait, I think I already have one--

I've worked here ... twice. Even lived in Milwaukee for almost 2 years but never made it to The Domes. Guess I just needed a reason to take a random mini roadtrip.

First of all, the fact that Kevin Bacon is on network TV is alarming/disturbing. Meaning that he's too good for TV.
This is assuming that the film industry isn't in the crapper... which it obviously is.
The reason why you are seeing true A-listers
(not the reality show mouthbreathers that Alley Faith
misnames A-Listers) on dumbed down
TV shows is because the film industry is done.
Isn't it obvious? Everything has wings, CGI, or is a remake
of a dead president and/or 60's, 20's, some other dead dudes idea.
.. which provides a slimey, and transparent illusion to a new crop of viewers that it's original.
Nice try.
Kevin Bacon appeared on a horrible TV show last night,
and it was produced to seem like a movie.
That's the recent trend because we are hungry for something
that resembles a real movie and we're not
getting it in movie theatres. But thankfully I do get hot pretzel bites
with a side of fake cheese.
so.....My interest was piqued due to the fact that Kevin Bacon can actually act.
And it's a new show that's not a remake, so I gave it a chance.
Unfortunately , he was surrounded by subpar acting, boney women who looked more manly than him,
and a script that sounded like it was scrawled on the back of a gum wrapper
in the Mitchell International bathroom stall. What a waste.
Proving once again that Hollywood is in
desperate need for originality and creativity.
And that the "tough" women roles have become so contrived that instead
of being a strong woman who's "Miss Indepedent.. hey girl"...
they appear to be longing for a pork chop and 3 triple milkshakes with
a shot of Weight-On.
Maybe the creators/corportate shills are just afraid to take a risk; simply going
with what is cheap and easy. That means yes they are. ew.
Because of this,
I've curtailed my TV viewing to about 40 minutes a day. My brain thanks me.. except for this past
evening. It's embarrassed in so many ways. I think I'll listen to more radio.

Well....as I'm writing this, I may be a little premature. But so far I've managed to avoid the loathesome
workplace cliche's that follow long weekends/and or holidays. For the first time I didn't have to hear
1." Feels like a Monday doesn't it!?"
(no it doesn't, but you make my spine twinge and my stomach acid bubble up)
2. "Couldn't we have just one more day of vacation"
(wish you could have one more day then I wouldn't have to hear that)
3. "I need a vacation from my vacation". (Please cease from all talking until 2015)
