Glee might be saying goodbye after being on the air since 2009, but they won't be doing it quietly!
According to E! the show's writers are debating on moving one of their key gay characters to Russia. Given the fact that Russia condemn gay rights, relationships and laws, this is an extremely hot and controversial situation. The show has had storylines in different cities, since the original characters graduation from high school, but none this extreme.
Russia just passed an anti-gay law stating, "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations among minors," and ever since the LGBT community has been protesting. Russia's president, Vladimir V. Putin, also banned gay couples from adopting Russian-born children in the country, as well as other countries that allow equaity in same sex marriage, and granted Russian police officers the right to arrest tourists and foreign nationals they suspect are gay.
If Glee decides to give the go ahead to relocate Kurt's character to Russia, it'll be interesting to see how they will react; however, if they are banning their kids from being adopted by Americans, I doubt they're watching our televison shows.
This will be the sixth and final season of Glee if they decide it's time to retire.
