Amanda Bynes Put On 5150 Psychiatric Hold
Amanda Bynes was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold at a hospital in L.A. on Tuesday morning for a 72 hour period. According to TMZ, the former child star will undergo a mental evaluation after she allegedly started a small fire in the driveway of a random person's house on Monday night in Thousand Oaks, CA. Cops were called to the scene when the fire department found Amanda walking around not far from the blaze. Once police arrived on the scene, they knocked on the door of the home where the fire had been lit and found it to belong to an elderly woman who claimed to have no connection to the actress. The 27-year-old was reportedly carrying a "little red gas tank" and had burned part of her clothing off when the police found her. TMZ is also reporting that Amanda had a run-in with the cops on Sunday for allegedly trying to trespass at a retirment community in Thousand Oaks where she claimed to have a relative living there. Management at the community reportedly turned her away because she appeared drunk and even called her cab. She then apparently got into a fight with the driver because she didn't have any money and he kicked her out. The police were called to the scene when she tried to walk back into the retirement community after being ejected from the taxi. A 5150 was also used back in 2008 on Britney Spears which led to her being put under the care of her father through a conservatorship.
