I'm always looking for quick and easy recipes to make for myself and my kiddos so I turned to the Wisconsin Beef Council and found some great stuff! This week I made Fresh Tomato, Beef and Bow Tie Pasta...it was so yummy! Here's the recipe for you:
I don't know if you know this about me, but six years ago, I was rushed to the hospital. I lost so much blood that I needed six units. I would not have survived without blood donors, who I consider heroes. You are amazing for donating blood, if you ask me! :) Then, in 2012, it happened again. Unfortunately, I don't know if or when I'll need blood again. You can be a hero for others like me who never thought they’d need to rely on blood donations. Save the day. Donate blood with BloodCenter of Wisconsin. Just call 877-BE-A-HERO or visit www.bcw.edu/appt

So this is my first week back at work and I'm slowly getting adjusted to the hours after being on maternity leave for 8 weeks....and everyone keeps calling me at the worst times! Oh well...I guess I will live but it helps that I get to use my phone as much as I want and not have to worry about going over on minutes or paying extra fees. That's all thanks to my Cricket Wireless phone where EVERYTHING is UNLMITED! It's awesome because I not only get unlimited talk and text, but I also get unlimited data and MUSIC. Try finding that deal somewhere else....
So get into a store today and get hooked up! You know you wanna try the Samsung S4 and they've got it for you....
I almost forgot to blog this week because I have been so busy talking on my phone about my new baby…being on maternity leave I barely see anyone because I’m so busy with the baby so there is always lots of catching up to do! Good thing I have Cricket…my data and calls are UNLIMITED! Also, my texts and music are unlimited…I have been listening to a lot of music to get me through the day.
Get into Cricket today and get your Samsung S4 and you can have unlimited everything too! OH…and the best part of the whole deal is that it is with NO CONTRACT! Talk to ya next week!
Well, he’s about 3 weeks old now and Hudson Michael is doing great! I posted a pic of him below so you could see how happy he is…or should I say relaxed?? He truly is a great baby and I’m sure it had something to do with his smooth delivery at the Aurora Women’s Pavilion on September 4th!
We had a great stay and everyone there was great. Now that we are home I kinda miss all the attention I got from the nurses…maybe I should have another now? KIDDING!
Okay, I’m off to take care of my little buddy and his big brother, Owen, who is absolutely in love with him. If you are pregnant or thinking of having a baby, make sure you have your baby with Aurora! They deliver the most babies in the state!
I love how much I am hearing from people about their love for their new Samsung phone. People constantly come up to me on the street and tell me they went to Cricket and picked up the Samsung S4 for only $25 down! Pretty cool if you ask me!
So get into a Cricket Wireless store today and find out for yourself….Samsung is the new way to go and I promise you will love your phone!
And while you are at it, you can get your cell phone plan which includes unlimited text, talk, music and data! Oh…and as always NO CONTRACT! Enjoy!
Did you hear that I had my baby?? Well, as you can imagine, I had tons of texts to send and calls to make after the birth! I’m still trying to catch up with everyone who wants to chat and see pictures so my phone is getting a lot of use. So it helps that I have Cricket Wireless because everything is covered! I have unlimited texts, calls, music and data which is a huge help when I’m using my phone this much.
And in case you haven’t heard…the Samsung S4 is the hottest new phone right now and you can get yours at Cricket Wireless for only $25 down. So get into your Cricket Wireless store today!
So I had to swing by the Women's Pavillion in West Allis yesterday(where I'm having the baby) to get an IV of iron injected because my iron is so low and I'm about to have this baby any day now! I have to admit...it wasn't the most fun experience ever, but at least they are helping me get as healthy as possible for baby!
I had a bit of a baby scare yesterday but the good news is that everything turned out okay! I had been monitoring my blood pressure at home to make sure it was okay, and it seemed a little high yesterday. So, I did what I was supposed to do and called my doctor. She sent me into the Aurora Women’s Pavillion in West Allis(where I’m scheduled to have the baby in a 3 weeks!) and I spent a few hours there but luckily got to go home because everything was okay and baby looked great!
It’s moments like those that I’m glad I’m having the baby at Aurora and know that they are always there to provide me with the best care if something is off. I was happy to get discharged and go home, but it was also a reminder that I have a baby coming soon(yeah!) and the staff is so wonderful there that I have no worries about how my experience will go.

I have TWO doctor appointments this week. One is tomorrow to do a non-stress test---and then another ultrasound on Friday. I will be sure to keep you updated! Until next time….
I LOVED seeing Nync back together last night at the VMA's, and I really think they should go back on tour! Of course, it probably won't happen because Justin Timberlake is way too successful on his own to go back now, but it was a nice treat anyway. Also, Miley Cyrus completely freaked me out. She was a very nice gal when I met her, but she needs to keep her tongue in her mouth! It was so hard to watch....completely uncomfortable!
Well, I’m 35 weeks pregnant now. I can’t say enough how quickly this pregnancy is going for me! It does help that I have some of the best care in the business. I am having my baby boy at the Aurora Women’s Pavillion in West Allis---this is the same place I had Owen almost two years ago!
I loved it there because I was so scared and the staff was so wonderful with me. Not only are the rooms there AMAZING, but the care is top notch. Now that the birth of the second one is getting close, I am getting nervous again but I am so relieved to know that I will be well taken care of there.
I had another doctor appointment this week and everything looked great!
I also love it that The Aurora Women’s Pavilion and Aurora Sinai Medical Center have the highest level of Neonatal Intensive Care Services for the Milwaukee metro area. Did you know that?? You always want the best care for your baby and you will get it with Aurora.
Had a great girls night with my sister this week and a bunch of my girlfriends. Started with a pedicure with my big sister, Penny, and then off to have lots of yummy food and margaritas(virgin for me!). It really is the best medicine sometimes to have your girlfriends...keep em close because you never know when you are gonna need them! Plus, what kind of gal doesn't love a night of food, drinks, laughter and gossip??!
So Ryan Braun released his apology statement yesterday. How lovely. You know what would have been even more awesome? If he had sent me a text apologizing. Or maybe just told someone to tell me. Even better.
Who comes out and speaks to the public to DENY anything and then apologizes with a letter? If you were able to speak to the press to deny it, you should have the guts to speak to the press to admit you lied. OH well. I'm still gonna hit up Brewer games. What kind of Milwaukee girl would I be if I didn't??!
Summer is starting to come to a close…in fact, Labor Day is only a week and a half away….crazy! Well, you are going to need some extra money to send those kids back to school, so why not start saving with your cell phone plan?
Cricket Wireless really is the way to go because they have the best deals! You get unlimited talk, text, data AND music for as low at $45 a month! And they won’t make you sign a contract…that is unheard of!
Also, right now you can get the phone everyone is talking about…the Samsung S4 for only $25 down. Pretty awesome. So get into a Cricket Wireless today and start saving!
I went to Cheesecake Factory this weekend and as I was leaving they handed me a WHOLE GODIVA chocolate cheesecake!! I gotta say...these people certainly know how to make a 8 1/2 month pregnant lady happy!!!
Hey guys! Well, I’m 34 weeks pregnant now and I am so ready to have this baby! Saw my doctor on Tuesday and luckily my blood pressure is looking good and I hope to keep it that way. However, if for some reason this baby comes extra early, I’m so happy I’m having it at the Aurora Women’s Pavilion in West Allis. Mainly because the Aurora Women’s Pavilion and Aurora Sinai Medical Center have the highest level of Neonatal Intensive Care Services for the Milwaukee metro area. Did you know that??
I had Owen there, my first one, and I absolutely loved it…You want the best? Go to Aurora.
Aurora delivers more babies than any other health system in the state. To find an Aurora doctor for your pregnancy, visit: www.aurora.org/ob
All you ladies looking for a good man...LOOK OUT! My son Owen is on his way to being man of the year....he will even mow your lawn! lol! Love this little guy and can't believe he will be 22-months next week!
Summer is such a busy time of year and I feel like I’m on my phone all the time….which is why I chose to have a Cricket Wireless phone. It totally works out for me because I am on the phone ALL the time and Cricket gives me UNLIMITED talk, text, music and data on my plan. Nobody else offers me that.
I also hate that these cell phone companies that try to force me into a contract. Well, Cricket doesn’t do that! So, do the smart thing today and head into a Cricket Wireless store and stop being had by all those other companies!
Well, Friday was Rahny's last day at KISSFM. I was sad to see him go, but happy that he gets his wish to move on to bigger and better things. He has been a part of my life everyday for the past 9 years and I have grown to know him very well and love him. He is amazing with my son Owen, and he now has a beautiful wife to share his life with. I wish you the best Rahny and I will miss ya!!
Hey! Did you realize that I am 33 weeks already!? I can't believe this little baby is going to be here soon! I'm super excited and I secretly wish he would come early...shhhhh! Don't tell anyone!
I had Owen at the Aurora Women's Pavillion in West Allis and I'm really excited to have my next one there. I KNOW how scary it can be to have a baby and have no idea what you are doing. The staff at Aurora was so amazing and made me feel super comfortable. That is why I have chosen to go back there for my next one!
And by the way.....did you know that Aurora delivers MORE babies than ANY other health system in the state? To find an Aurora doctor for your pregnancy, visit: http://bit.ly/11P6Vhg
Here's a pic from when I had Owen...oh the memories!
Have you seen the new Samsung S4? It’s pretty awesome and I have some good news for you…right now at Cricket you can get it for only $25 down AND no contract! How amazing is that??
I love my Cricket phone because it has unlimited talk, text, data and music. It was so nice to not have to pay extra for my music anymore AND to not have to worry about going over on my minutes. We all know I love to talk so that is ALWAYS a problem for me.
Get into Cricket today and stop wasting your money and going over on your minutes! And tell them I sent ya!
He's almost here!! I had an ultrasound this week and got to see my little munchkin. He weighs about 5 pounds already! Whew! Can't wait to meet him very soon!! And I love how he has the arm across his face....trust me...I know ultrasound pics look like one big blob, but I find it adorable!
I have been talking on the phone so much this month that the other day I got really scared….did I go over my minutes?? Well, then it occurred to me…NOPE!! That’s impossible! I have unlimited EVERYTHING on my Cricket phone. Sometimes I still catch myself forgetting that.
That is definitely one of the reasons I love my phone---because I have unlimited talk, text, data AND music. It’s such a great deal. I never had that anywhere else. OH…and even better news if you wanna get your Cricket phone today and start making smart decisions…because RIGHT NOW you can get the Samsung S4 for only $25 down and no contract!
That is one of my other favorite features…NO CONTRACT! Who else does that? Yea, keep thinking….you will be here awhile. J
Get into a Cricket Wireless store today and get hooked up!
My sister sent me an edible arrangement of fruit and chocolate covered goodies the other day...I have to say...it was the first time anyone had ever sent me one and it was fantastic! Not to mention how much my son loved it. I really needed a pick me up and it hit the spot....I mean, who doesn't like chocolate covered strawberries??
Did ya know that you are probably spending TWICE as much as you should on your cell phone plan? Take it from me…I know a good deal and Cricket Wireless is HALF the price of the other cell phone carriers. Trust me.
For only $45 a month you can get unlimited talk, text, music AND data. Just swing into a Cricket Wireless store today and they will get you all hooked up.
OH…and there is NO contract! Isn’t it annoying you get stuck with a long contract everywhere else?? What happens if you don’t even like it? Cricket won’t do that to you.
One more thing you should probably know…for a limited time you can get $200 of a Samsung Galaxy phone when you sign up and enroll in Auto bill pay. That even includes the S4!
I was really saddened to hear of the news of Cory Monteith's sudden death over the weekend. I really loved Glee and I think it was one of the best shows on TV. Not only that, but it really had a great message...which was to be proud of yourself no matter who you are. As I was looking through some old pictures, I found this pic of Cory Monteith when I went to see the Glee tour in Chicago a few years ago. RIP Cory.
So you always hear me talk about my Cricket Wireless phone on the radio but I gotta tell you...I really love this thing! You know I love a good deal and Cricket just keeps continuing to provide that.
I mean seriously...where else can you get a cell phone plan with NO CONTRACT?? Not only that but where else can you get an entire plan...including unlimited text, talk, internet AND music for only $45 a month? It's a pretty sick deal.
So go check it out today and stop getting ripped off by other companies!
P.S. Right now if you switch to Cricket you can get $200 off any Samsung Galaxy phone(including the S4)....which is pretty awesome!
I'm blaming everything I eat these days on my pregnancy...that's the easy way out, right?? SO anyway, my current addiction is the blueberry muffin at Einstein's. I don't know what it is, but I can't get enough of it! YUM!
I took Owen to the Betty Brinn Museum downtown this weekend for the first time and he had a blast! It helped that I had one of my Milwaukee Perk coupons to use(man, I love those things)...if you wanna sign up to see our daily deal(called The Milwaukee Perk), click here!
I went and got a pedicure last week with my mom who was visiting and I decided to go a little different. I picked yellow for a color(which I had never done) and when my pedicure was over they asked if I wanted a flower on my toes. I decided to go for it and here it is! Problem is, that I don't know what I was thinking....I should have gotten a BLUE flower so I would have Brewers colors. Now it just looks like I have a Summerfest flag on my feet! OH well, at least it's timely!
I made these over the weekend after finding the recipe on Pinterest and all I can say is...YES PLEASE! I loved them and will be making them more often. (FYI: I followed the part of the directions that said to take them out when the edges were brown even though the middle didn't look done...it worked great!)
Cake Mix Cookie Bars
Prep Time:5 minutes
Cook Time:20-30 minutes
Total Time:35 minutes
1 Box yellow cake mix (I used Betty Crocker)
1 Small box instant vanilla pudding
1/4 Cup water
3/4 Cup vegetable oil
1 Cup chocolate chips. I used 1/2 cup holiday mini M&M's and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Combine cake mix, pudding, water, vegetable oil, eggs and chips or M&M's in large bowl.
Pour the batter (it's going to be thick) into a greased 10x13 baking dish. I sprayed my dish with nonstick cooking spray which worked well.
Bake your bars for 20-30 minutes (I took mine out at 25.)
It may look sort of raw in the middle but if the edges are just golden and starting to get crispy, it's probably perfect.
I was busy, busy, busy this weekend! Having fun? No. Getting organized? Yes. Went through all of Owen's baby clothes to get them ready for baby #2---which is due September 22nd. Some call it nesting....I call it having nothing better to do!
Looking for something to do tomorrow night(Thursday)?? Well, I'm hosting this great event at SPIN Milwaukee so come out and help raise money for the kiddos! Perfect for a night out or a happy hour after work! See ya there!
We found out the sex yesterday of our baby and it's a boy! I will now have 2 boys under the age of 2! Yikes! The little one is due September 22nd. Owen will turn 2 on October 25. Should be interesting! Oh...and yes, we are keeping the name a secret. You will have to wait!
It was finally warm enough to get out on our first boat ride of the season this weekend and it did not disappoint! So ready for summer to be here, but I will def take the new spring weather we are getting for the time being!
You may have heard me talking about the swing set we bought at Menards a few weeks ago and how my husband completely messed it up while putting it together. He forgot an entire piece across the top. So my father-in-law came over and helped him get it up correctly. As you can see...the before and after...haha!
Look who turned 4 last week! My little baby, Bella! The sad part is, we completely forgot her birthday until about 11 in the morning....guess things change when you have a kid....kinda made me think of Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles...if only Bella could talk!
Well, I'm back from my Florida vacation with my family and we had a pretty good time...except for the few problems getting out of the Milwaukee airport! But once we got there we enjoyed the sun and fun! Here's a few pics from our little vaca.....enjoy!
Surprise! I'm pregnant! It has been so hard keeping it a secret, but I'm happy that I can finally announce it! I'm due September 22 and very excited that Owen will get to be a big brother. Get ready for all my "pregnancy" posts! ha!
I don't know where the time goes, but Owen is officially 16-months-old as of yesterday! He is sassier than ever and also cuter than ever. I only have to tell him "NO" about ten times a day! Not too bad! ha!
So I stumbled up on the reality show, "The Houstons", the other day on the Lifetime network and I have to admit...it is a total train wreck and I can't stop watching. I watched all the episodes in two days. It features Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina(who is clearly high for many of the episodes and can barely keep her eyes open) and Whitney's brother and wife(who was her manager when she was alive). If you ever get a chance, check it out. Its truly fascinating and sad all at once!
Well, I thought I was going to have quite a problem getting Owen to let go of the bottle, but it only took one day! We went to the store, picked out a new cup for him and he immediately started drinking out of it when we got home. Who knew it would be so easy?? Plus it's nice to be done washing bottles for awhile!
Well, I have officially done it. I have taken away Owen's bottles. He is 15 months now, and the dr told me to do it when he was a year old, but I let him have it a little longer. Either way, he is NONE to pleased with it. I think he threw his sippy cup at me 10 times yesterday when I offered it to him with milk in it. Funny thing is, he loves his sippy cup with water in it. But the second I put milk in there, he knew what was up and was NOT having it. Isn't it amazing how smart they are?? I guess the standoff will continue....
So I totally forgot to share my awesome gift from my husband that I got in November for our wedding anniversary. But then it hit me...you can still use the gift idea for Valentine's Day! Or Mother's Day or birthdays or....you get the point. So, it was pretty original and made my heart melt. It was a necklace and as you can see it has two fingerprints on it.....my husbands and my sons. I thought it was so adorable. Apparently, they can also do pets and the hubby didn't know this or he would have gotten our little Bella done too. If you wanna use this gift idea, here's the Facebook of the woman that does them. Pretty cool!
Check out my gear! I bought this from sister-in-law over the summer for $5. She was about to sell it at a garage sell and I think it may be my best purchase this year! Get the chips and dip out...I'm ready for the Packer game tomorrow night! Go pack go! Oh....and If you wanna buy one of these for yourself, click here!
So I went to visit my sister in California for the New Year and when I got to the airport in Cali, I noticed a guy that looked very familiar to me. Turns out, he looked so familar because he was Ben, from The Bachelor. Remember the one who picked that awful Courtney? Well, he was clearly trying to hide and not be noticed...too late buddy!
So proud of my husband, Joe, who graduated last weekend with his Masters Degree in Sports Management. My only thought as we sat through the LONG ceremony was...why do we still let all these people speak for 20 minutes each at graduation ceremonies?? I was looking around and no one was listening. So I say do away with all the speakers at those things! Would make the ceremony a lot quicker!
Well, I finally got to the movies and saw Breaking Dawn! It was great!! I about had a heart attack at the end...if you have seen it you know why...but I thought it was a great ending to a great series!
Well, I'm back after another stint in the hospital. The same thing happened to me 5 years ago and this time around the doctor's still couldn't seem to find the problem. Here's the short version of my drama: I lost a bunch of blood...they gave me blood....they did a lot of tests...they found nothing. So there ya go....anyway...thanks for all your support on Facebook and Twitter while I was out! And I did get some very nice flowers from work sent to me....check em out.
So my 5-year-old niece is in Kindergarten this year and they were having a fundraiser at her school, so being the awesome Aunt I am, I bought a bunch of stuff, including this Badger wood cutting board! Love it!
Reese Witherspoon recently gave birth to a baby boy, named Tenessee James, with her new husband Jim Toth. And since I am a new mom, I am more than interested in checking out other peoples kids. Well, it was only a matter of time until the paparrazi snapped a pic of the little cutie. And yes, he is a cutie! Check out the picture here!
It's official! We have a cast for Teen Mom 3! It consists of Mackenzie Douthit, Katie Yeager, Alexandria Sekella and Briana Dejesus, who all starred in their own episode of 16 & Pregnant. There is no word yet on the official air date, but In Touch confirmed who the cast was along with other various websites. The girls have also been throwing out hints on Twitter that make it pretty obvious they are the future cast. I know how hard it is to remember all these chicks so if you want to see a pic of the new girls and a brief summary of their episode, click here!
Owen was supposed to be a lion for Halloween this year, but then my mom informed me she couldn't find the costume(which she had made for my nephew a few years ago). So, I went to the store and this was the last costume they had! So here's my little bear!
Well, Owen turned one yesterday! He had a fun day going out to breakfast with grandpa, then spending the rest of the day with mommy. At night he went out to dinner with mommy and daddy and I guess it was all too much for him because he passed out in the car ride home so we just let him sleep in his clothes. There he is below...clearly exhausted from his 1st birthday!
So we had Owen's 1st birthday party this weekend and I found these adorable pumpkin rice krispie treats on Pinterest! So I made them and they actually came out okay. It didn't go so well at first(as you can see in the picture) but once we figured out the food coloring we were good to go! To get the recipe, click here!
It turns out that Rahny and I were both on the Gym Class Heroes Behind the Music on VH1 Sunday night interviewing Katy Perry about her relationship with Travie McCoy, the lead singer! Who knew! We had no idea but it was still pretty cool. Fell free to DVR it and see our 3 seconds of fame!
Well, I thought I did a pretty awesome job carving my pumpkins with my neice and nephew last weekend, but it appears I may have done them too early because I don't think they are gonna make it to Halloween!! BOOOO!
So I was lucky enough to get a taste of the Snickers peanut butter bar yesterday and I gotta say...it was yummy! But why mess with a good thing? Snickers doesn't need to change anything! They are so good already! Just sayin....
Thank you to all the members of the KISS team who came out for Race 4 the Cure on Sunday! It was a blast and I'm so proud of all of you for giving up your EARLY Sunday morning to help raise money for breast cancer. So, THANK YOU!!!!
You asked for it, so you are getting it! Here is the awesome Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe I use. It is so freakin good!!
2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup Ranch dressing
3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®)
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers
Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.
As you probably already know, I am a HUGE Real Housewives fan. I watch them all...New York(which is way better this season), New Jersey(Theresa sucks), Atlanta(more Kim please), Beverly Hills(Brandi Glanville was the best thing that ever happened to them) and even the O.C. and Miami. Well, they have announced the new cast for Atlanta and Beverly Hills and some people DID NOT make the cut! I gotta admit...I'm a little mad about who got the ax in Atlanta! To see who made the cut, click here!
I gotta tell ya...after buying a new house in Brookfield I am totally lost on how to decorate the darn thing. THANK GOD I found Warren Barnett Interiors in Brookfield! They are designing my whole living room for me and it is gonna be SICK when they are done...here are some of the fabrics for the couch, pillows, ottomans, etc....I can't wait for the furniture to get here!
Well, the ratings are in and it looks like the winner is.....The Voice! They beat out X-Factor on it's debut night, even with miss Britney y'all. Preliminary numbers show that The Voice scored a total of 10.7 million viewers to The X Factor's 7.5 million. Simon Cowell was NOT happy when The Voice decided to add another show on their debut this week. He told Ellen DeGeneres, "We had the schedule set for months. They were going to go Monday, Tuesday. We were going to go Wednesday, Thursday. And, then they waited to the last second to announce that they were going to book a third show up against our premiere because they wanted to spoil our premiere." The Voice's Blake Shelton rebutted, "Every time I turn around, he's mouthing off about our show. It's like, 'Do your own show! Come on! Put something together there and do your thing.' We'll just do ours and we won't mouth off about you!"
Well, Teen Mom has come to an end(the first season anyway) and I gotta admit that I'm sad! I love that show, but I understand why you can't keep filming Teen Mom with girls in their 20's. Now that it's over I really wanna see a spinoff for Maci and possibly Amber...even though she's locked up so that would be impossible. Farrah bores me and Catelyn and Tyler are great, but I don't know if they have enough for their own show. Well, with all that being said, guess who got a spinoff?? Freakin Farrah! Ugh..there are rumors that Maci is already filiming her spinoff so I just gotta keep my fingers crossed for that one! For all the details on Farrah's spinoff, click here!
Do you recognize the stairs in the photo below?? Well, they are from a VERY famous movie. Anything yet?? Okay, Okay, so my parents just got back from Lake Lure, NC and it turns out that Dirty Dancing was filmed there! So they took a little local tour and my mom sent me some pics. Ahhhh....thank god nobody puts baby in a corner!!
So yesterday Rahny and I were down by the lakefront handing out popsicles so people could beat the heat and guess who we ran into?? Yovani Gallardo from the Brewers! He was working out down by the beach so being the loud mouth I am, I screamed out the window, "Hey dude...want a popsicle??" Of course he took one and I think we may be BFF's now. Okay, maybe not. But its fun to fantasize.....
One of my best friends who lives in Chicago bought Owen a Cubs outfit and I about died! How is my little guy supposed to wear this in Milwaukee without getting killed?? LOL! On another note...GO BREWERS!!
Oh yes, it has happened again. Another Teen Mom is in jail. Again. This time it is Jenelle Evans who was arrested for drug possession after the cops were called because she and her fiance, Gary Head(I have no idea who this guy is) got into an argument. He was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly hit her and she was arrested after they found the drugs. She can really pick em, can't she??
Summerfest is less than two weeks away and I can't believe what is going to be on the menu this year....a $25 hot dog! Martino's will be serving the 1 pound beauty at their booth. If you dare to try it....good luck!
Looks like Roberto might be coming back to The Bachelor...to BE The Bachelor! He won the reality show a few seasons ago when he proposed to Ali Fedotowsky, but the couple broke up recently. Turns out that Roberto is in the running along with a few other people. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind seeing him for another season! Yum!
This one is for all my reality show fans.....if you watched the last season of Bachelor Pad you saw Blake and Holly fall in love...even though she went on the show with her super sweet ex-fiance who was still in love her with her. The whole thing was awesome/awkward to watch all at once, but in the end Holly and Blake tied the knot over the weekend. Guess her adorable ex-fiance Michael is just left looking stupid and alone. :(
Hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! Owen was sick most of the weekend, but started to feel better on Monday and that's when I got this adorable picture of him! Oh..and he is 7 months old now!! I know I say this every month, but where does the time go???!
Congrats to Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon who married her longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni in New York on Sunday! The two have been together since 2004 and Christine gave birth to the couple's son in 2011. Of course, Cynthia has two children from a previous relationship with a photographer...yes, a man. That was before she came out of the closet. Anyway, congrats to the happy couple! And is it just me, or do these two kinda look alike?
Well, it's official...my little cutie needs to get a helmet to fix the torticollis(a.k.a. the flattening of his head from laying on it too much). I really didn't think he was gonna need it, but the doctor said it is pretty severe so we will go in a couple weeks to get him fitted for one. Should only have to wear it for a few months so that is good news! And on the bright side, I KNOW there could be WAY worse things happening to him so I'm okay with it.
Ladies! I bet you wanna get yourself a pair of these before Brewer season starts in a month! I found them on Pinterest but luckily a nice listener directed me to the website where you can purchase them for $99.99. If you wanna go get a pair, check out the website here!
Sorry folks...I've been meaning to post this for awhile for you. It's the app I was talking about on the morning show last week. It's called Viggle and it is awesome! You get gift cards just for watching TV! If you have a smartphone, go download it because it should pay off!
I am officially a brunette! I went to get my hair cut yesterday and decided I needed a change. I have been blonde for over ten years and decided I wanted to let that go for now. You never know though...I may always go back to my ex...she was good to me for those ten years! By the way, I don't even know my natural color anymore, but I'm thinking its a dirty blonde with a little red mixed in. For some reason my hair has gotten more red as I have gotten older.
We got the chance to go visit my parents in Florida over the holidays and that meant taking Owen to the beach for the first time! He couldn't do much, but it's fun to make these memories with our little one! And as you can see, he was completely fascinated by the whole experience.
It was a sad day over the weekend....Owen is so depressed he told me to leave him alone and that he wanted to sleep off the Packers loss. Oh well....on the bright side at least we won the Super Bowl last year!!
Well, it's official...I'm a mom! So happy to introduce you to Owen Charles, who was born on October 25th and weighed in at 7lbs, 15 oz! He was also 20 1/2 inches long. I love hanging out with my little peanut. He is such a joy! Here is a pic from the day he was born!
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the biscuit mix and cheese in a small bowl. Add the water and stir just until combined. The dough will be slightly moist. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, until the biscuits are firm and beginning to brown.
While the biscuits are baking, make the garlic butter. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, salt, and parsley flakes. Mix well. As soon as you bring the biscuits from the oven, brush them with the garlic butter using a pastry brush
So I have been watching The Real World Las Vegas(AWESOME season by the way) and I couldn't figure out who Nany reminded me of. And then it hit me! Freida Pinto from Slumdog Millionare. Nany is on the right and Freida is on the right in the picture of the three girls.
They really could be twins!
Forget that Nany is dumb as rocks....she is definitely beautiful!
