I went and got a pedicure last week with my mom who was visiting and I decided to go a little different. I picked yellow for a color(which I had never done) and when my pedicure was over they asked if I wanted a flower on my toes. I decided to go for it and here it is! Problem is, that I don't know what I was thinking....I should have gotten a BLUE flower so I would have Brewers colors. Now it just looks like I have a Summerfest flag on my feet! OH well, at least it's timely!
I made these over the weekend after finding the recipe on Pinterest and all I can say is...YES PLEASE! I loved them and will be making them more often. (FYI: I followed the part of the directions that said to take them out when the edges were brown even though the middle didn't look done...it worked great!)
Cake Mix Cookie Bars
Prep Time:5 minutes
Cook Time:20-30 minutes
Total Time:35 minutes
Ingredients:
1 Box yellow cake mix (I used Betty Crocker)
1 Small box instant vanilla pudding
1/4 Cup water
3/4 Cup vegetable oil
2 Eggs
1 Cup chocolate chips. I used 1/2 cup holiday mini M&M's and 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips.
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Combine cake mix, pudding, water, vegetable oil, eggs and chips or M&M's in large bowl.
Pour the batter (it's going to be thick) into a greased 10x13 baking dish. I sprayed my dish with nonstick cooking spray which worked well.
Bake your bars for 20-30 minutes (I took mine out at 25.)
It may look sort of raw in the middle but if the edges are just golden and starting to get crispy, it's probably perfect.
I was busy, busy, busy this weekend! Having fun? No. Getting organized? Yes. Went through all of Owen's baby clothes to get them ready for baby #2---which is due September 22nd. Some call it nesting....I call it having nothing better to do!

We found out the sex yesterday of our baby and it's a boy! I will now have 2 boys under the age of 2! Yikes! The little one is due September 22nd. Owen will turn 2 on October 25. Should be interesting! Oh...and yes, we are keeping the name a secret. You will have to wait!
It was finally warm enough to get out on our first boat ride of the season this weekend and it did not disappoint! So ready for summer to be here, but I will def take the new spring weather we are getting for the time being!
You may have heard me talking about the swing set we bought at Menards a few weeks ago and how my husband completely messed it up while putting it together. He forgot an entire piece across the top. So my father-in-law came over and helped him get it up correctly. As you can see...the before and after...haha!
My little buddy turned 18-months-old today! I can't believe I have a one and half year old! He is talking up a storm and really does get more fun every day. Time sure does fly when you are having fun!
Look who turned 4 last week! My little baby, Bella! The sad part is, we completely forgot her birthday until about 11 in the morning....guess things change when you have a kid....kinda made me think of Molly Ringwald in Sixteen Candles...if only Bella could talk!
Finally got out to my first Brewer game of the season this week! It was a LONG game, but who knows---maybe being pregnant and sober had something to do with it. Anyway, GO BREW CREW!
I have decided that this is the most annoying toy ever invented. And guess who absolutely loves playing with it?? My very own 17-month-old! Guess I should have know when I bought it! My fault!
Well, I'm back from my Florida vacation with my family and we had a pretty good time...except for the few problems getting out of the Milwaukee airport! But once we got there we enjoyed the sun and fun! Here's a few pics from our little vaca.....enjoy!
Surprise! I'm pregnant! It has been so hard keeping it a secret, but I'm happy that I can finally announce it! I'm due September 22 and very excited that Owen will get to be a big brother. Get ready for all my "pregnancy" posts! ha!
I don't know where the time goes, but Owen is officially 16-months-old as of yesterday! He is sassier than ever and also cuter than ever. I only have to tell him "NO" about ten times a day! Not too bad! ha!
So I stumbled up on the reality show, "The Houstons", the other day on the Lifetime network and I have to admit...it is a total train wreck and I can't stop watching. I watched all the episodes in two days. It features Whitney's daughter, Bobbi Kristina(who is clearly high for many of the episodes and can barely keep her eyes open) and Whitney's brother and wife(who was her manager when she was alive). If you ever get a chance, check it out. Its truly fascinating and sad all at once!
Well, I thought I was going to have quite a problem getting Owen to let go of the bottle, but it only took one day! We went to the store, picked out a new cup for him and he immediately started drinking out of it when we got home. Who knew it would be so easy?? Plus it's nice to be done washing bottles for awhile!
Well, I have officially done it. I have taken away Owen's bottles. He is 15 months now, and the dr told me to do it when he was a year old, but I let him have it a little longer. Either way, he is NONE to pleased with it. I think he threw his sippy cup at me 10 times yesterday when I offered it to him with milk in it. Funny thing is, he loves his sippy cup with water in it. But the second I put milk in there, he knew what was up and was NOT having it. Isn't it amazing how smart they are?? I guess the standoff will continue....
So I totally forgot to share my awesome gift from my husband that I got in November for our wedding anniversary. But then it hit me...you can still use the gift idea for Valentine's Day! Or Mother's Day or birthdays or....you get the point. So, it was pretty original and made my heart melt. It was a necklace and as you can see it has two fingerprints on it.....my husbands and my sons. I thought it was so adorable. Apparently, they can also do pets and the hubby didn't know this or he would have gotten our little Bella done too. If you wanna use this gift idea, here's the Facebook of the woman that does them. So I went to visit my sister in California for the New Year and when I got to the airport in Cali, I noticed a guy that looked very familiar to me. Turns out, he looked so familar because he was Ben, from The Bachelor. Remember the one who picked that awful Courtney? Well, he was clearly trying to hide and not be noticed...too late buddy!
So proud of my husband, Joe, who graduated last weekend with his Masters Degree in Sports Management. My only thought as we sat through the LONG ceremony was...why do we still let all these people speak for 20 minutes each at graduation ceremonies?? I was looking around and no one was listening. So I say do away with all the speakers at those things! Would make the ceremony a lot quicker!
Well, I finally got to the movies and saw Breaking Dawn! It was great!! I about had a heart attack at the end...if you have seen it you know why...but I thought it was a great ending to a great series!

Well, I'm back after another stint in the hospital. The same thing happened to me 5 years ago and this time around the doctor's still couldn't seem to find the problem. Here's the short version of my drama: I lost a bunch of blood...they gave me blood....they did a lot of tests...they found nothing. So there ya go....anyway...thanks for all your support on Facebook and Twitter while I was out! And I did get some very nice flowers from work sent to me....check em out.
So my 5-year-old niece is in Kindergarten this year and they were having a fundraiser at her school, so being the awesome Aunt I am, I bought a bunch of stuff, including this Badger wood cutting board! Love it!
Reese Witherspoon recently gave birth to a baby boy, named Tenessee James, with her new husband Jim Toth. And since I am a new mom, I am more than interested in checking out other peoples kids. So every year I get lots of requests for my mushroom casserole recipe. I make it every year for Thanksgiving and it is soooo good!! Trust me...once you go mushroom, you won't go back!!
Ingredients
3 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 cup hot water
4 Tablespoons all purpose flour
8 ounce heavy (whipping) cream
2 16-ounce containers sliced mushrooms
6 Tablespoons melted margarine or butter
1 1/2 cups herbal stuffing
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water.
Melt margarine/butter and coat stuffing.
Spray casserole dish.
Spread sliced mushrooms evenly in casserole.
Combine water, cream, and flour. Spoon over mushrooms.
Sprinkle buttered herbal stuffing on top of mushrooms.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly.

So I took Owen to the Milwaukee County Zoo the other day and he could have cared less about the animals. Apparently crawling all over the place was much more entertaing. lol!
It's official! We have a cast for Teen Mom 3! It consists of Mackenzie Douthit, Katie Yeager, Alexandria Sekella and Briana Dejesus, who all starred in their own episode of 16 & Pregnant. There is no word yet on the official air date, but In Touch confirmed who the cast was along with other various websites. The girls have also been throwing out hints on Twitter that make it pretty obvious they are the future cast. Owen was supposed to be a lion for Halloween this year, but then my mom informed me she couldn't find the costume(which she had made for my nephew a few years ago). So, I went to the store and this was the last costume they had! So here's my little bear!
Well, Owen turned one yesterday! He had a fun day going out to breakfast with grandpa, then spending the rest of the day with mommy. At night he went out to dinner with mommy and daddy and I guess it was all too much for him because he passed out in the car ride home so we just let him sleep in his clothes. There he is below...clearly exhausted from his 1st birthday!
So we had Owen's 1st birthday party this weekend and I found these adorable pumpkin rice krispie treats on Pinterest! So I made them and they actually came out okay. Well, I thought I did a pretty awesome job carving my pumpkins with my neice and nephew last weekend, but it appears I may have done them too early because I don't think they are gonna make it to Halloween!! BOOOO!

You asked for it, so you are getting it! Here is the awesome Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe I use. It is so freakin good!!
INGREDIENTS
2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup Ranch dressing
3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®)
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers
Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.
As you probably already know, I am a HUGE Real Housewives fan. I watch them all...New York(which is way better this season), New Jersey(Theresa sucks), Atlanta(more Kim please), Beverly Hills(Brandi Glanville was the best thing that ever happened to them) and even the O.C. and Miami. Well, the ratings are in and it looks like the winner is.....The Voice! They beat out X-Factor on it's debut night, even with miss Britney y'all. Preliminary numbers show that The Voice scored a total of 10.7 million viewers to The X Factor's 7.5 million. Simon Cowell was NOT happy when The Voice decided to add another show on their debut this week. He told Ellen DeGeneres, "We had the schedule set for months. They were going to go Monday, Tuesday. We were going to go Wednesday, Thursday. And, then they waited to the last second to announce that they were going to book a third show up against our premiere because they wanted to spoil our premiere." The Voice's Blake Shelton rebutted, "Every time I turn around, he's mouthing off about our show. It's like, 'Do your own show! Come on! Put something together there and do your thing.' We'll just do ours and we won't mouth off about you!"
Well, Teen Mom has come to an end(the first season anyway) and I gotta admit that I'm sad! I love that show, but I understand why you can't keep filming Teen Mom with girls in their 20's. Now that it's over I really wanna see a spinoff for Maci and possibly Amber...even though she's locked up so that would be impossible. Farrah bores me and Catelyn and Tyler are great, but I don't know if they have enough for their own show. Well, with all that being said, guess who got a spinoff?? Freakin Farrah! He was working out down by the beach so being the loud mouth I am, I screamed out the window, "Hey dude...want a popsicle??" Of course he took one and I think we may be BFF's now. Okay, maybe not. But its fun to fantasize.....
One of my best friends who lives in Chicago bought Owen a Cubs outfit and I about died! How is my little guy supposed to wear this in Milwaukee without getting killed?? LOL! On another note...GO BREWERS!!
Oh yes, it has happened again. Another Teen Mom is in jail. Again. This time it is Jenelle Evans who was arrested for drug possession after the cops were called because she and her fiance, Gary Head(I have no idea who this guy is) got into an argument. He was arrested for domestic violence after he allegedly hit her and she was arrested after they found the drugs. She can really pick em, can't she??
Summerfest is less than two weeks away and I can't believe what is going to be on the menu this year....a $25 hot dog! Martino's will be serving the 1 pound beauty at their booth. If you dare to try it....good luck!
Looks like Roberto might be coming back to The Bachelor...to BE The Bachelor! He won the reality show a few seasons ago when he proposed to Ali Fedotowsky, but the couple broke up recently. Turns out that Roberto is in the running along with a few other people. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't mind seeing him for another season! Yum!
This one is for all my reality show fans.....if you watched the last season of Bachelor Pad you saw Blake and Holly fall in love...even though she went on the show with her super sweet ex-fiance who was still in love her with her. The whole thing was awesome/awkward to watch all at once, but in the end Holly and Blake tied the knot over the weekend. Guess her adorable ex-fiance Michael is just left looking stupid and alone. :(

Congrats to Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon who married her longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni in New York on Sunday! The two have been together since 2004 and Christine gave birth to the couple's son in 2011. Of course, Cynthia has two children from a previous relationship with a photographer...yes, a man. That was before she came out of the closet. Anyway, congrats to the happy couple! And is it just me, or do these two kinda look alike?

Well, it's official...my little cutie needs to get a helmet to fix the torticollis(a.k.a. the flattening of his head from laying on it too much). I really didn't think he was gonna need it, but the doctor said it is pretty severe so we will go in a couple weeks to get him fitted for one. Should only have to wear it for a few months so that is good news! And on the bright side, I KNOW there could be WAY worse things happening to him so I'm okay with it.

I am officially a brunette! I went to get my hair cut yesterday and decided I needed a change. I have been blonde for over ten years and decided I wanted to let that go for now. You never know though...I may always go back to my ex...she was good to me for those ten years! By the way, I don't even know my natural color anymore, but I'm thinking its a dirty blonde with a little red mixed in. For some reason my hair has gotten more red as I have gotten older.
We got the chance to go visit my parents in Florida over the holidays and that meant taking Owen to the beach for the first time! He couldn't do much, but it's fun to make these memories with our little one! And as you can see, he was completely fascinated by the whole experience.
It was a sad day over the weekend....Owen is so depressed he told me to leave him alone and that he wanted to sleep off the Packers loss. Oh well....on the bright side at least we won the Super Bowl last year!!

Well, it's official...I'm a mom! So happy to introduce you to Owen Charles, who was born on October 25th and weighed in at 7lbs, 15 oz! He was also 20 1/2 inches long. I love hanging out with my little peanut. He is such a joy! Here is a pic from the day he was born!
I went to Red Lobster last night for dinner and as I was diving into the basket of those awesome biscuits, I realized that I hadn't posted MY biscuit recipe in a long time!
It's the closest thing I can find to the ones at Red Lobster and they don't disappoint! They are yummy! And super easy!
Oh...and I learned through trial and error that Parchment paper is necessary! So make sure you use it!
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the biscuit mix and cheese in a small bowl. Add the water and stir just until combined. The dough will be slightly moist. Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, until the biscuits are firm and beginning to brown.
While the biscuits are baking, make the garlic butter. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic powder, salt, and parsley flakes. Mix well. As soon as you bring the biscuits from the oven, brush them with the garlic butter using a pastry brush
So when I got to work this morning I ran to the back of my car to grab my umbrella and that's when I saw it.

So I went to see Bridesmaids yesterday and I was shocked to see that the whole movie takes place in Milwaukee!

Trouble has come knocking again at the doors of Theresa and Joe Giudice.
He was arrested on Friday after he was pulled over. Turns out his license is currently suspended and he fraudulently obtained a new one in June using his brother's identity.
The charges, if successfully prosecuted, could result in up to 10 years in prison on the misappropriation-of-ID charge. A forgery conviction can carry an 18-months' sentence.
Giudice's license was initially suspended as a result of a Jan. 14, 2010, DUI incident that ended with him crashing into a telephone pole. Caught driving in violation of that suspension, he served a brief jail sentence last Sept. 21.
Yet between these two dates, Passaic County law officials allege, Giudice took the time to visit the Motor Vehicle Office in Paterson, N.J., and, using his brother's information, obtain a false license. The guy just can't stay out of trouble!
TMZ just broke a story about Chris Brown going crazy this morning and losing it on the set of Good Morning America.
Apparently, Robin Roberts was interviewing him and asking questions about Rihanna when he became upset. As soon as the interview was over he stormed into his dressing room screaming and yelling before breaking a window.
He ripped his shirt off and stormed out before security could get to him.

It was really cool because apparently she stopped into Swig around 4 p.m. to have a bite to eat with her half-sister and several other people.
They stayed until about 6 p.m. when Oprah jumped into the Escalade(see left) waiting for her outside.
I have some sad news for all my gleeks out there. Looks like Matthew Morrison(Mr. Shuester) is getting serious with his new woman, Olivia Munn from the TV show Perfect Couples.
I joke about it because I get so much heat for how much my husband and I travel! But I always tell people...I'm doing it...not just talking about it! :)
Well, this time we went to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and I have to say it was BEAUTIFUL!
I honestly wasn't a fan of the beach beacause the sand was pretty coarse and the water was WAY too cold to swim, but the mountains were amazing.  Here are a few pics for ya!

Yesterday on her show Oprah revealed that she has a half-sister she just found out about. The cool part....her sister has lived in Milwaukee her whole life!
So she had her on the show and it was just fascinating! Turns out Oprah's mom gave her sister, Patricia, up for adoption when Oprah lived with her dad in Tennessee and no one ever knew about it.
Somehow Patricia pieced it all together after seeing an interview that Carol Meekins did on WTMJ 4 with Oprah's mom a few years ago. Crazy!
I gotta say...I am proud to be a Wisconsinite this morning! Congrats to the Packers for making it all the way to the Super Bowl.

ET is reporting that Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola of MTV's "Jersey Shore" have split and it seems Sammi wants nothing to do with her reality-show co-star.
A source tells ET that their private drama has become public news on Facebook with Sammi unfriending all of Ronnie's associates from her page.
I doubt this will actually last, but they claim this time it is DONE. hahahahahaa

BUT, I must tell you....the best gift I got was from my dog Bella! Yes, I said from my dog, but I think we all know it was from my husband, Joe.

Every year I get to be a judge for The Wisconsin Humane Society's annual Calendar that they sell around the holidays. All the proceeds go back to the Humane Society.
They get tons of entries from pet owners and then 12 lucky winners get to be in the calendar on each month!

Well, I just got back from an awesome trip to Vegas with my husband and two friends of ours.
It was definitly a blast, but the coolest part wasn't gambling and drinking like usual(I know, GASP) it was actually visiting the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay!
I had never been--even though I used to LIVE in Vegas--but it was super cool. We even got to pet a stingray! Hope you enjoy the pic!

So every year I get lots of requests for my mushroom casserole recipe. I make it every year for Thanksgiving and it is soooo good!! Trust me...once you go mushroom, you won't go back!!
Ingredients
3 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 cup hot water
4 Tablespoons all purpose flour
8 ounce heavy (whipping) cream
2 16-ounce containers sliced mushrooms
6 Tablespoons melted margarine or butter
1 1/2 cups herbal stuffing
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Dissolve bouillon cubes in hot water.
Melt margarine/butter and coat stuffing.
Spray casserole dish.
Spread sliced mushrooms evenly in casserole.
Combine water, cream, and flour. Spoon over mushrooms.
Sprinkle buttered herbal stuffing on top of mushrooms.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly.

You may have heard me telling the story about how my husband and I biked across the Golden Gate Bridge when we were in San Francisco in September.
It was NOT a good time for me since no one told me I had to climb 10 hills to get there!! My husband said, "oh, it's so easy and fun!"Â NOT!

So last night my husband and I went to the grand opening of the new sports bar "Replay" on the east side(it used to be Twisted Fork).
They have a food challenge called the "Replay Challenge" where you have to eat TWO of these plates. It is 5 1/2 pounds of food total! Two pounds of fries and two deep fried burgers!
My husband tried, but failed....I knew I should have given it a shot!

Are you kidding me?? This chick wants to come back again?
A source told Usmagazine.com, "Rozlyn wasn't that interested in Jake, but she's very interested in Brad. She really wanted to come back on the show." Despite her wishes, Rozlyn was shot down. Race 4 the Cure is almost here!! I do it every year and the KISS team is always lots of fun. We walk together and help raise money for Susan G. Komen to help breast cancer.
I can't believe the race is a month away! It is on Sunday, September 26th and it only costs $25.
You can run, walk or even sleep-in for a cure! If you don't wanna get up but wanna help, just do that option!
So our neighbor had a little problem with their dog and we stepped in to help out. As a thank-you gift to us they got us a City Tin. I had never heard of it and once I saw it, I realized it is one of the coolest gifts ever!

Went to the fair last night and finally had a turkey leg. So good!! I couldn't believe how tender the meat was. BUT, it was HUGE!
Also managed to try the cheese on a stick, spaghetti and meatballs on a stick, fried pickles, deep fried smore on a stick and cheesecake on a stick. Yes, I ate all of that. I also ate some corn for my own personal enjoyment.
So what if I'm broke now and about to have a heart attack???
First it started with Tommy Hilfiger's kid getting arrested for having some weed. Cops think he had the intent to sell it so he was taken in and released after being charged.
THEN, Rudy Giuliani's daughter Caroline gets arrested for shoplifting!! She goes to Harvard, yet she was dumb enough to steal $100 worth of cosmetics from Sephora. Wow.
